kanye west, Tacoma, the throne, Washington

One overzealous fan at the recent Throne concert in Tacoma, Washington got thrown out after reportedly throwing business cards onstage. Why he thought that was a good idea is anybody’ guess but Kanye eloquently makes his point in the video below saying, “These cubes rise 20 feet in the air. We’re riskin’ our lives up here, you can’t be throwin’ shit that we’re gonna slip on.” The guilty party stepped forward and was evicted from the show, leaving us with the following tweet:

“OMIGOD KANYE HATES ME! VERDICT STILL OUT ON JAY-Z, HE SEEMS PRETTY CHILL THO! #WatchTheThrone”

J. Cole, Jay Z

Jay gave one his biggest compliments yet to J. Cole in a recent MTV interview comparing his latest horse to Kanye West:

“When you see that someone can make it on their own … you see Kanye or J. Cole, you see that sort of talent — you let that talent be. You let that talent find its way.”

Los Angeles, Paris, Staples Center, the throne

Following a trend on the Watch the Throne tour of playing Ni**as in Paris, five and six times, Jay Z and Kanye West played the track a record number of nine times at their show in LA last night. Is this getting out of hand? Are they just being lazy? From the video it looks like it might just be really fun to be on stage during the explosive, laser-show break. Check it out:

English: Kanye West at the Vanity Fair kickoff...

Image via Wikipedia

Even with all the pomp and bombast that accompanies even the slightest mention of Kanye West, ‘Ye always manages to fall back to Earth on occasion.  At the peak of his game, it’s often easy to forget that Yeezy is indeed a mere mortal who gets by with a little help from his friends, which made it all the more touching at The Throne show in Chicago when he extended his thanks to Jay and Beyonce and his mother who raised him.

“It’s a glorious occasion. But right now I want ya’ll to put two fingers in the air right now. I wanna dedicate this show to the lady that brought me to Chicago at age three, the first black female chair of the English department at Chicago State University, Dr. Donda Claire Ann West. I know she up there looking down right now and she helped me get through these past four years, when America turned they back on me, when the world turned they back on me for tellin’ ya’ll the motherfuckin’ truth.”

As The Throne tour winds its way down, VOYR.com released its first behind-the-scenes episode of life backstage with Yeezy and Hova.  Kanye’s ego is on full display when he discusses who he’d like to attend his funeral.

“I always joked and I was like ‘Ok, I’m doing music but there is a bigger plan for me. At a certain point I wasn’t given this power for no reason and now it’s starting to open up,” Kanye says in the opening scenes. “I was just thinking about my funeral and stuff a couple days ago, thinking ‘Who would be at the funeral?’ People who I want at my funeral, I want like world leaders that were affected [by me], that said “Kanye gave me my shot here.” Or he pushed me or he told me to believe in myself. Or when I saw this it made me feel like that. I want to affect people like that when I pass away.”

For $4.99 you can get premium access to VOYR which at the moment appears to host this one video.
